Fringe Labs is led by a hands-on founding team with deep expertise in physics, engineering, astronomy, and data systems. While we each carry executive roles, we are builders first—actively designing, assembling, analyzing, and refining every aspect of our interferometry platform.
Jonathan Goldman, PhD — Chief Executive Officer
PhD Physics (Stanford, 2006), SB Physics (MIT, 1998)
Jonathan leads the operations and day-to-day coordination of Fringe Labs.
He brings a rare combination of deep physics expertise and large-scale technical leadership.

- Former Head of Data Science at LinkedIn
- VP of Data at the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative
- Founding Board Member of Khan Academy
Jonathan is involved in everything from beam alignment, testing train track carts and fundraising.
Charles Santori, PhD — Chief Science Officer
PhD Applied Physics (Stanford, 2003), SB Physics with Electrical Engineering (MIT, 1997)
Charles leads the scientific and optical design of the platform. He is the architect of the beam-combining system and a key driver of the project’s experimental direction.
Experience highlights:
- Research in solid-state spectroscopy, single-photon devices, and two-photon interference (Stanford)
- Integrated photonics for quantum and classical computing (HP Labs)
- High-throughput hyperspectral fluorescence microscopy and image analysis/reconstruction algorithms (Verily Life Sciences)
- 35 years of astronomical observation, 16+ years of astrophotography
Charles is working on design, simulations, and experimental implementations at the component and system level.
Anu Tewary, PhD — Chief Strategy and Development Officer
PhD Applied Physics (Stanford, 2007), SB Physics and Mathematics (MIT, 1998)
Anu drives long-term strategy, external partnerships, and development. Her experience spans from photonics research to building scalable products and mission-driven organizations.

- Research in silicon photonics
- Leadership roles at Microsoft, AdMob, LinkedIn, and Intuit
- Co-founder, Level Up Analytics (acquired by Intuit)
- Founder of Technovation, a global nonprofit teaching girls technology and entrepreneurship
